Carbon Air is introducing activated carbon technology to a number of new applications, including automotive air springs, mountain bike springs, acoustics and sound insulation.
Working with partners and customers on the modelling, design and simulation of applications for activated carbon, Carbon Air is also consulting and providing solutions for manufacture via licensees.

Erwin has over 25 years’ experience working with technology giants including Siemens, OSRAM and Infineon and has held a number of CEO and board positions within photonics, semiconductors, communications, medical, and technology companies.
John Coakley

John, a technology entrepreneur, founded Carbon Air while serving as Technology Transfer Officer at the University of Salford. Trained as an architect, John started his career as a journalist covering news and current affairs.

Chris is an experienced entrepreneur and is the former CEO of IP2IPO Ltd (now IP Group) and group operations director of AEA Technology PLC, responsible for lithium-ion battery licencing. He is the chairman and founder of Faradion Ltd, the sodium-ion battery company.
Ashwin Kumaraswamy

Ashwin started his career in the semiconductor sector. He has been responsible for a number of technology investments including Faradion and SureCore, giving him extensive experience in helping venture-backed businesses take early-stage technologies to market.
